I personally feel if you want to purchase one and wear it then feel free. As of now I don't feel that they should be mandated.

With yesterday's shooting in Maryland I debate buying a vest for work. The City of Syracuse is not getting any safer and the hostility among the citizens with anyone wearing a uniform is growing. But the what holds me back is the cost for the vest. With the new merger with AMR a bunch of us are hoping that the company may do a sponsorship deal or pay half for a vest for us to wear.
