My daughter who is a nursing student found a great app for anyone in the medical field. It's called Figure 1. This app has some phenomenal pictures of all types of injuries. She says it's very simple to use too. You just set up a profile and start exploring the site. I've seen quite a bit of interesting pics along with a brief scenario of what happened to the pt from the injury details to treatment and outcome of pt after treatment. Check this app out !!!

AS sick as it is, i find it fascinating to look at these kinda pictures, and watch surgery videos... I think it's an important part of our continuing education!

This is a great app. I downloaded it a week ago when I read this post. A ton of knowledge that I will definitely be trying to recall when doing my clinical rotations.

A really cool app! skiechj, I definitely understand where you're coming from. There's a point when a first responder can't really turn away from an incident or turf it to someone else, and the app seems to provide better access to more informative cases than a dense medical journal, for example.

Definitely an awesome app! I've spent a lot of time looking at this app with friends who are hoping to go to medical school in the future, and we all find it fascinating. It's especially interesting to speculate on what the mechanism of injury might be!
