Where will we be without our nurses? These individuals work hard day in and day out. And to be working without a contract is foolish. Hospitals are making tons of money. Take care of our nurses so they can continue to take care of our patients!!!! I support the nurses currently striking for additional benefits and staffing levels!!! What's your thoughts?

I agree. Nurses play an important role in hospitals as well as doctors. I support the nurses fighting for additional benefits as well.

Population is getting larger and older. When populations get too large, you start to see outbreaks of diseases as we have already been seeing - We need all of the healthcare professionals we can get.

I support any profession that brings as much to the table as the nursing.

NYS employed nurses just received approval for a geographical subsidy in this area. Unheard of!! There are openings everywhere in the state agencies due to the lack of respect and employment satisfaction these nurses have. If they do not start appreciating the nurses more, RNs will continue to leave the area.

What can we as EMS providers do to collectively support the nurses? They are often the people we interact with the most and the people we entrust our patients too. Is there a way to link our voices to their fight for fair wages/benefits/treatment?
